Why I started Meridian…
Before I started Meridian I was waiting tables. It paid, but I felt lost in it. I knew I wanted to build something of my own, so I spent months teaching myself how websites actually work — not because I planned to start an agency, but because I wanted to understand it.
My mom runs her own business doing taxes and immigration. I watched her build it on word of mouth, flyers, and business cards, and I watched how long that took. Most of what took her years can be done now in a fraction of the time.
That’s the gap I’m trying to close. A lot of owners built something real before any of this existed. Most designers hand over a good-looking site and disappear — but the site was never the point. The point is that people find you, and that it keeps working after I’m gone.
I work in English and Spanish, because a language barrier shouldn’t be the reason someone never finds out what they could have.
